Hi there!
My name is Amanda, born in Stockholm in 1994, and there are two things that I’ve basically always loved. Dogs and art.
It took almost 28 years before the dog dream became a reality but art has been a constant in my life and I discovered photography early on. My camera came along on every trip and eventually it accompanied me every day so I could document the wonders of ordinary life. I bought my first DSLR (a Sony α380) with my own money in my early teens, and my interest only grew from there.
At University, I balanced my studies with photographing various events - from big parties at the student union building and intimate “fulsittningar” in the woods to formal banquets in ornate halls, as well as committee portraits and action shots from competitions. This led to inquiries about wedding photography, resulting in my first paid assignments.
I’ve been working as an engineer for a few years now and still live in my University town Linköping with my dog, Eira. However, I still take photos for my own enjoyment in my spare time and do some freelance work photographing events like weddings.
Nature photography has always been my greatest passion, but nature also serves as a source of inspiration for my other photography work. Regardless of the subject, I want to capture the moment - the feeling and the details others might miss - so that you can look back at the image and relive the experience. I want my photos to feel natural and serve as still images that bring memories back to life.
Currently, this is a hobby and part-time venture, but I am available for assignments when time permits; please feel free to browse my selection of photos under Work to get a feel for my style. I also share my work in a more personal way with behind the scenes etc on my Instagram.
Do I sound like the right photographer for you? In that case, please get in touch via the form under Contact so we can discuss it further. I speak Swedish and English.
